Aftermarket Parts Claims

Beware of stores that sell aftermarket Kohler engine parts and are making such claims as "This is what the rebuilder's use" or "Just as good or better quality". Ask them what facts do they have to back up those claims. The Kohler Company spends alot of time and money in research and development (R&D) on its engines and the parts that go into them. Do you honestly think these aftermarket parts companies who have no stake in making engines know better then Kohler on what is the right part for their engines. The answer is No. Don't get me wrong there are a few aftermarket parts that are fine to use but internal engine parts are not one of them, unless you know for a fact that they are from the same manufacturer who makes them for Kohler.
